The 2026 HAI Group Resident Scholarship Program is open for submissions!

This year, 20 people will be awarded scholarships valued at $6,000 each! Applicants must submit their entry form by 3:30 p.m. ET on June 5, 2026. Completed entries will be placed into a drawing on or about June 8, 2026.

Happy New Year from the Housing Authority of McAlester, Oklahoma (MHA) Staff
We are excited to enhance connections with our residents, applicants, landlords, and community partners. To better serve you, we have two forms: one for reporting public housing fraud, or drug activity in MHA units, and another for tenants to share ideas for MHA improvement, or to submit any complaints.
We have also added contact information for other rentals based on income in the McAlester area.
MHA is governed by a Board of Commissioners, guiding our mission to provide affordable housing solutions to over 331 families in our community.
